A delightful new duo formed by best friends Emma and Matilda is, naturally, titled emma & matilda. They describe their music as ‘bedroom folk’, because most of their songs were written in their bedrooms. The duo’s songs have a strong sense of melancholy and are intended to be a beautiful place for confronting painful things. Human relationships are an endless source of inspiration for their lyrics, enshrining grand emotions in intimate songs.
The duo released their début EP Siellä on kaikki niin ihanaa [Everything is so wonderful there] in spring 2023; this includes their single Veronica, which went viral on Tiktok.
